Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient ancestry. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the eastern with the wild west in an excellent game for beginner level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the dealer, unlike the majority of other poker games that players play with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginner players don’t need to worry about other, more experienced individuals taking their moolla.

One more Pai Gow advantage is the generally slow game pace, newcomers should be able to take their time and strategize without having to make frenzied choices.

It is also much simpler to play for a long time with just a little bit of money after all, to not win, each of your hands must be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards face up and the house is given seven cards faces hidden.

A five card hand and one two card hand have to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand has to be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the casino’s.
