Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the wild west in a great game for beginning level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the casino, not like nearly all other poker games that gamblers bet against other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to be concerned about any other, more experienced people taking their $$$$.
A further Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game play, novices are able to take their time and plan while not having to make quick choices.
It’s also easier to enjoy for an extended time with just a little amount of cash after all, to not win, both of your hands has to be under each of the houses hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the casino is given 7 cards face down.
One five card hand and a 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
